Running a business is about solving problems. Constantly.

Your Business. Only Better.

The Office is where we solve your problems. Every single week.

What should I charge?
How should I position myself?
What offers make the most sense?
What are people buying?
Who should I be selling to, and how?
How do I get a steady flow of projects?
What about retainers? What are the pros and cons?

And with AI becoming the ubiquitous google search, it’s become harder and harder to find solid advice. And, even if you do find someone who has an answer, how do you know who they are and what they know? There are far too many experts who have done a thing themselves, but haven’t proven that what they did works for anyone else.

I see my competitors are using a particular strategy. Should I be? Am I missing out?

Every question has multiple answers. Knowing which is right for you? THAT’S your challenge.

You Know the Questions:

Auroriele Hans

“I’ve never seen more economic chaos than during the winter of 2025. It killed demand for contractors. FAST. My business survived thanks to Amy’s wisdom and guidance. Plus, the support I received from other savvy contractors (many of them more experienced than me). You’ll never meet a more generous coach than Amy. Don’t miss a chance to work with her!”

A Trusted Coach in Your Back Pocket

I have thirty+ years of business experience. I’ve owned 7 businesses, including two agencies and a very profitable, in-demand freelance copywriting business. I’ve also coached hundreds of freelancers and seen behind the curtain of thousands of freelance businesses. I know what works, I know why, and I am generous with my knowledge.

Here’s what else I know: every decision begets more decisions. It’s no joke. I’ve seen it. I’ve been through it. For example. You decide you need more projects. You know that starts with better lead generation. You choose a method. A social channel, say. Now you’re into content creation. What should you create? Where should you share it? How often? And, is that really your best way forward?

You make some decisions, and it’s not long before you’re second-guessing yourself. Even if you’re willing to do the hard work? You don’t want to waste your time doing the WRONG hard work. So you stall out. You start looking for answers.

That’s where I come in. That’s where The Office becomes your best friend.

I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of money on courses and coaches and masterminds. No one comes close to Amy at doing that.

In my first year as a freelancer, I can directly attribute over $48k to Amy. It's much more now.

I'm sharing this because I know there are people out there like me.

We second-guess everything and we suffer from perfection paralysis.

We feel desperately stuck in our own mental rut (we know we're the bottleneck).

We feel like we are massively underachieving.

We end up taking courses instead of action when what we really need is someone to help us get out of our own way.

For me, that was Amy.”

“If I had to describe what Amy does in one sentence, it would be this: she shows you how to close the gap between where you are now and what you know you can achieve, whatever that means for you.

“I come to you with a jumbled mess, and you help me sort it out so I know the next thing to do, and how to do it. CLARITY. You give me clarity.”

What kinds of questions can I ask? What does this really look like?

I gathered some questions I’ve been asked, along with the answers. You can find that right here. It will give you an idea of how you might use The Office and what real-time coaching looks like.

And, if you’d prefer the TL;DR, here are some questions I’ve been asked recently.

Should I post prices on my site? I notice some people do and some don’t – do you know why and what do you think I should do?
Do you recommend an “entry offer” and what are some good ones? And, should list those on my site?
What’s the best way to cold pitch for clients? Does it still work? How do you do it? I read one of your emails where you talked about doing it yourself and a training you did a while back. Can you give me some insight, or point me in the right direction to learn more?

04.
I see a lot of people writing newsletters. Should I? And where do I publish it? Should it be on LinkedIn? What about Substack and some of the other platforms? Is there a certain stage of business when I should consider this? I’m confused!
05.
What do you do when you don’t have proof but want to land a client? Is a portfolio the way to solve that? And what about proof? I feel like I’m in a Catch-22 – I need clients to get proof and I need proof to get clients…help!?
06.
What do you do when your week goes off the rails and nothing goes according to plan? I feel like I’m having trouble sticking to a schedule and getting everything done. How do you prioritize?
07.
How do you break into another market sector? How much experience do you need? And how do you know which to choose for what you do? Any advice there?
08.
You wrote an email about how you launched your business with direct mail. Would you share what you did and how it worked? Do you think that’s still a viable option?
09.

Those are the kinds of questions you can get answers to in The Office. Every single week. I answer almost any kind of business-related question you throw my way. My job is to clear your path so you can make progress without all the fear, worry and doubt that creeps in when you go it alone

How is the Office laid out and what does it cost?

The Office is a $97 monthly membership where you have access to me and your colleagues through a Slack workspace. I’m there every week, answering your questions and providing insight and advice. Some people think of it as a safety net, or business security blanket. Some love the networking and community (and I’ve historically attracted some amazing people into my communities).

Even in a week when you don’t have a pressing question? There’s an incredible richness and depth of understanding that comes from seeing what other people ask and following the answers. We all go through similar journeys – building a freelance business has a few components that we cycle through as we get started and then grow and scale.

Components like:
Who should I serve (who buys what I sell/am great at)?
What do I need to build to attract them?
How do I reach them?

The subset of those questions becomes:
What do I charge?
How do I position myself?
What do I do with the 50 other questions that come up as I start down these paths?

That’s why I get asked all the questions I laid out above!

In The Office you’ll be able to ask your questions – and get solid, proven answers, every single week. That matters, because if you have questions that go unanswered?

You spin in indecision.

Spinning costs you. In time, in sanity and in money. You can’t afford it. But, if you don’t have reliable input from someone you can trust? You also can’t avoid it.

The Office is where I put my hands on your shoulders, stop your spinning and point you in the right direction with solid answers based on years of experience. And, not just my own experience.

I’ve helped hundreds of people get clarity on next steps in their business. And the steps after that.

I’m not a rubber stamp coach who says yes to whatever idea you’ve got. I’m also not someone who’s done it once and then teaches it. I’ve been in the freelance trenches for more than a decade. I know what works and why, and I know it from helping hundreds of people DO IT.

Results come more quickly, and you move forward with more confidence when you know what to do. Period. Reliable, trusted advice is hard to come by. My promise to you? Proven, honest answers delivered with compassion. I won’t BS you, and I won’t shred you either (!).

The price of The Office is $97/month for as long as you remain a member. The value to your business growth and your sanity? Priceless.

Pre-Amy, I was struggling to deal with clients who basically walked all over me, and made me feel defensive. I was getting too hot-headed to respond to them well, and to be honest, I didn't really know how to. Not only did Amy dive right into the client issues with me, to REALLY understand the situation (which alone is way more than I'd experienced from coaches in the past), she SHOWED me exactly how to respond with finesse, class and clarity.

I ended up feeling really GOOD about my responses to these clients, and not at the mercy of their whims. If you do any type of client work, you know how huge this is.

Thanks to Amy I also have a short-list of go-to responses to whip out for different client hesitations or objections. It feels so good to know how to handle clients going forward and in a way that makes me feel like such a boss (because it's not about sucking it up or compromising).

THANK you Amy!”

“Amy is without question a god-send of a client-wrangling-coach, and I don't say that lightly.

"Amy can make months of doubt and head-spinning disappear. Perhaps it's her unbeatable common sense, based on decades of data in the field of play. But she gives me confidence even in the face of uncertainty and keeps the fundamental conversations about the business light, open and safe for new experts to sprout."

Danielle Davies

“Amy doesn’t just teach you the things that will help make your business a success (though she does that too): she becomes a partner, a mentor, and your biggest cheerleader, celebrating your strengths (which she graciously points out) and guiding you through and around your weaknesses. If you’re looking to build a business that’s going to nourish you personally and financially, there’s no one better than Amy.”
